I did have some issues with the card being seated properly in the PCIe slot. Final configuration PATA not enabled because turning it on causes a hang during boot. I think what you want is to change b1 02 to b1 I want to create an AHCI patched verson of 1. Seems to take values of 0xc2 or 0x There is indeed a checksum byte. You might try looking through the Linux kernel sources to see if the driver for the 88SE gives any clues as to how the chip works…. Why do you want to avoid the on-board SATA controller?

Haven’t received registration validation E-mail? Anyway, you can erase the flash chip, so that no option ROM is executed and the card is rendered non-bootable anymore. So I know it did not install. How can I update bios?

I made changes at three locations: I have an ssd in my case that would like to be used. I have not used this tool before; investigate it for yourself before installing unknown software. Register df is used by jmicroh option ROM code at offset 0x I use a thermaltake dock, and I would like to swap in my backup drive sometimes to do images they take all day over USB. In no case did setting 0xdf cause the JMB to become a multi-function device.
Also tried many different driver revisions. In this mode, Windows should detect the controller as a standard IDE controller without installing a separate Jmivron driver.
